Diploma in Postgraduate Medical Education (PGDME) A competency-based curriculum lasting one year, the Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education (PGDME) aims to build the abilities, know-how, and mindset necessary for efficient teaching and administration of health training facilities. The program includes modules on professional ethics, management, and entrepreneurship as well as general, clinical, and community teaching approaches. LEARNING OUTCOMES Graduates of this program will be able to demonstrate their abilities to: Manage a class effectively; create and choose instructional materials; and teach well, which includes effective communication. Help and oversee training so they can efficiently work in a medical facility, taking care of patients and gathering, organizing, and analyzing clinical and non-clinical data. Conduct research and apply newly acquired knowledge, i.e., employ suitable technology for both teaching and research. Effectively oversee and guide a health education facility. Create and assess curricula; analyze and assess a curriculum for health education. TEACHING METHODS In clinical and community settings, practical teaching and learning methods include micro and peer teaching, demonstrations, and return demonstrations. Health tutor candidates will get the chance to practice and hone their teaching abilities in a classroom setting with the support of their trainers through school attachment. Research: expands the knowledge and abilities of health instructor trainees in carrying out research.
