Training of clinical officers is backed by the increasing demand of health workers within the region. Uganda is key in provision of health services not only to its citizens but also to the neighboring countries. Across the borders with other countries, Ugandan health workers are always engaged in either directly providing health services to nationals of the neighboring countries or engaged in the control of disease outbreaks.
The current review of the Clinical medicine& community health Curriculum follows many years since the previous review of 2012. Moreover, the health sector has continuously evolved and in the process presenting the health worker and in particular the clinical officer with new challenges. The new challenges call for review of the approach to training to make the clinical officer relevant in meeting health care needs.
Minimum entry requirements
